黄色肉芽腫性腎盂腎炎の1例

XANTHOGRANULOMATOUS PYELONEPHRITIS:A CASE REPORT

緒言

　Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis（黄色肉芽腫性腎盂腎炎）は慢性腎盂腎炎の一特殊型とみなされているが，その形態学的特色であるxanthomacellの由来についてはなお明らかではない。われわれは本症の1例を経験し，そこにみられた泡沫細胞の脂肪の化学的分析と電子顕微鏡的観察を行なつたので報告する。

A 62 years old woman visited our clinic suffering from pyrexia and pyuria. The patient complained of lumbago as well of several years' duration. E. coli was identified in the urine. DIP revealed no visualized right kidney. Right nephrectomy was carried out under the diagnosis of right chronic pyelone-phritis. On the cut surfaces of the atrophied kidney, weighing 88 g, there were many yellowish nodules the size of up to a pea-size in the parenchyma: some were confluent and some were protruding into the renal calyces.
