睾丸類表皮嚢腫の1例

EPIDERMOID CYST OF THE TESTIS:A CASE REPORT

緒言

　睾丸腫瘍は大部分悪性であり，その多くが除睾術の対象となつている。しかし，まれではあるが良性のものもみられる。睾丸腫瘍は比較的若年者に多いことからも，良性の場合は腫瘍（瘤）のみの摘除が理想であるが，睾丸腫瘍即除睾術の風潮が強く，安易に除睾術が行なわれているきらいなきにしもあらずである。私は初めから良性を疑つて腫瘤のみを摘除，組織学的にも良性な類表皮嚢腫であつた1例を経験したので報告する。

A thumb tip sized, round, smooth surfaced, hard, non-tender mass was palpable at the middle of the left testicle in a 18 year old boy and was suspected to be benign from its smooth surface and definite demarcation. The mass was located in the grossly normal testicular tissue, completely encapsu-lated, by incising the tunica albuginea where the mass was transparent after e qiosing the testicle during surgery. The mass only was removed since it was easily isolated without adhesion to the testicular parenchyma. The histological diagnosis was benign epidermoid cyst.
