子宮頸癌患者に対する一時的腎瘻の意義

TEMPORARY NEPHROSTOMY IN CARCINOMA OF THE UTERINE CERVIX

緒言

　子宮頸癌患者にはしばしば癌の浸潤のため，あるいは手術や放射線治療に伴つて尿管狭窄が起きることが広く知られている。以前はこのような患者が尿管狭窄による尿毒症で死ねばむしろ幸せであるという考えさえあつたが，癌に対する治療法の進歩した現在では尿路変更についても積極的に考えていく必要があるように思われるので，参考までにわれわれの経験を紹介してみる。

Ureteral obstruction, mostly caused by infiltration of cancer, were noticed quite often in patients with carcinoma of the cervix, but recent advance in treatment has increased the incidence due to complication of surgery or radiation, and urinary diversion must be done positively for these cases.

Splint catheter and temporary nephrostomy tube are usually placed after plastic surgery of ureteral stricture secondary to radical hysterectomy. We have experienced some cases who died of renal failure after radiotherapy, and being free of cancer cell at autopsy.
