Two patients, one who underwent radiation therapy for invasive bladder cancer six years before and the other taking cyclophosphamide to control Wegener's granulomatosis were diagnosed as having hemorrahgic cystitis. Treatment with hyperbaric oxygen was performed, and successful results were achieved with relatively small numbers of treatment courses. There were no adverse effects during the treatment. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be an effective first choice treatment for hemorrhagic cystitis.
