鼻中隔に発生した軟骨肉腫の2症例

Two Cases of Chondrosarcoma of the Nasal Septum

　はじめに

　頭頸部領域に発生する悪性腫瘍は癌腫がほとんどであり，肉腫の占める割合は非常に少ない。その中でも軟骨肉腫の頻度は極めて少なく，頭頸部における軟骨肉腫の占める割合は非上皮性悪性腫瘍の中の約4％とされている^1）。

　今回，われわれは鼻中隔に発生した軟骨肉腫2症例を経験したので，その臨床経過を述べるとともに若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Chondrosarcoma arising in the nasal septum is a rare tumor.

A 33-year-old male suffering from progressive nasal obstruction developed chondrosarcoma extending fromthe nasal septum into the right paranasal sinuses and orbit. Another case, a 39-year-old female with a chief complaint of nasal obstruction developed chondrosar-coma occupying the left posterior nasal cavity. The tumor of each case was excised completely by lateral rhi-notomy and nasal endoscopic surgery via upper gingiva, respectively. No additional treatment was given. The dif-ficulty in distinguishing chondrosarcoma from benign chondroma, especially by small biopsy specimens, was emphasized because diagnosis of chondrosarcoma in each case required additional biopsy.
