耳下腺上皮性腫瘍の臨床統計的考察

A Study of Parotid Gland Tumors in 138 Cases

　はじめに

　今回われわれは1986年12月〜1996年12月までの10年間に，日本医科大学附属病院耳鼻咽喉科で病理組織診断の得られた耳下腺上皮性腫瘍138例について，臨床統計的検討を行った。この結果について文献的考察を加えて報告する。

In 138 cases of epithelial tumors of the parotid gland studied during the past 10 years from Dec. 1986 to Dec. 1996, 119 cases were benign and 19 cases were malignant. The tumors were classified accord-ing to the WHO classification in 1972 and investigat-ed the interrelation of age, symptoms, and features of the tumors. The most common benign tumor was pleomorphic adenoma whereas the most common malignant tumor was mucoepidermoid tumor. Three out of 4 cases who were of less than 20 years of age, were malignant. Five rapidly growing tumors were all malignant.
