はじめに
口蓋裂児は非口蓋裂児と比較して，滲出性中耳炎などの中耳疾患の罹患率が高いとされている。口蓋裂児にとって中耳疾患の罹患率が高いことは，口蓋裂児が言語を習得するに当たって，構音障害とともに重要な問題となる。われわれは，口蓋形成術後症例の中耳疾患について鼓膜所見とティンパノグラムについて検討したので報告する。
Otological studies of 98 repaired cleft palate chil-dren (195 ears) showed abnormal findings on theirdrums in 29.7% of the children. Abnormal tympano-grams of either B or C type were found in 233%.
Approximately 50% of repaired cleft palate chil-dren under 6-years-old showed middle ear diseases.
The incidence of middle ear diseases decreased with their growing ages, and approximately 10% in the repaired cleft palate children over 6-years-old showed middle ear diseases.
Otological follow-up is necessary for the repaired cleft palate children periodically.
