はじめに
扁桃周囲膿瘍は耳鼻咽喉科の日常診療において比較的よく遭遇する疾患であるが，小児例は非常に稀とされている。今回われわれは3歳児の扁桃周囲膿瘍例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。
Peritonsillar abscess in the infants is very raredisease. We recently treated a peritonsillar abscess in a 3-year-old male. He was successfully treated with incision drainage and tonsillectomy under general anesthesia.
We discussed the causes of its rarity and treat-ment.
