頸部横隔神経より発生した神経鞘腫の1例

Cervical Neurinoma of the Phrenic Nerve

緒言

　神経原性腫瘍は頸部腫瘍の中でも比較的少ない疾患で，特に横隔神経に発生するものは極めて稀である。最近我々は，頸部横隔神経より発生した神経鞘腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 70-year-old female was seen with a left cer-vical mass without other signs or symptoms. The mass was seen underneath the sternocleidmastoid muscle, measuring 5×4cm, smooth and well de-marcated. CT, ultrasonic examination and ⁹⁹mTc DTPA scintigraphy were performed. Preoperative diagnosis was a benign cervical tumor (neurogenic suspected). Surgery confirmed that the tumor ori-ginated from the left phrenic nerve. The tumor was removed without resecting the phrenic nerve. Histopathological findings showed an Antoni A type neurinoma originating from the left phrenic nerve. Postoperatively, the left diaphragma was slightly elevated without any respiratory disorders.
