喉頭蓋囊胞の臨床的検討

Clinical investigation of the epiglottic cysts

はじめに

　喉頭蓋囊胞は耳鼻咽喉科の日常診療においてしばしば遭遇する疾患である。通常は自覚症状に乏しく積極的な治療対象にならない場合が多いこともあり，これまで多数例を対象にした臨床的検討は行われていない。

　今回われわれは喉頭蓋囊胞の実態を把握し，今後の同疾患に対する診療の一助とする目的で，日常診療にて確認できた喉頭蓋囊胞例の臨床的検討を行ったので報告する。

　Of the 5,531 new patients who visited our department in the past 5 years, 398 patients（7.2％）with epiglottic cysts were clinically investigated. The results are summarized as follows：1）The most common number was one（347 cases, 87.2％）, and the highest number was five（one case, 0.3％）. 2）Categorized by size and site of occurrence, Ⅰa, Ⅰb, Ⅱb, Ⅱa, Ⅰ-lateral margin and Ⅲ were 52.8％, 21.7％, 10.9％, 7.0％, 3.7％, and 1.3％, respectively. 3）The colors were red at 49.3％, yellow at 48.3％, and purple-blue at 2.4％.
