顎下腺唾石症を伴った茎状突起過長症の1例

A case of elongated styloid process with sialolithiasis

はじめに

　茎状突起過長症は，過長な茎状突起により，のどの違和感，頸部痛や耳痛などの多彩な症状を呈する疾患である^1）。診断は問診，触診，画像診断の所見を総合して行われるが，茎状突起過長症の存在を念頭に置くことが最も重要といえる^2）。今回われわれは，同側の顎下腺唾石症を伴った茎状突起過長症の稀な1例を経験したので報告する。

　We report a case of elongated styloid process with sialolithiasis. A 30-year-old man presented with left neck pain and otalgia. CT imaging revealed a left elongated styloid process with sialolithiasis. Surgical treatment was performed for resection of the left submandibular gland with salivary calculus and reduction of the elongated styloid process via the cervical approach under general anesthesia. The postoperative course is uneventful until now. When a patient with neck pain and otalgia does not have a significant change in the pharyngo-laryngeal mucosa, an elongated styloid process should be considered, and medical care should be applied.
