振子型を呈した口蓋扁桃乳頭状肥大症の1例

Papillary Hypertrophy of the Pendulated Palatine Tonsil―Report of a Case―

I．はじめに

　口蓋扁桃の異型肥大として，乳頭状肥大症と振子様肥大症が知られているが^1,2），今回，両方の形態を合わせもつ症例を経験したので報告する。

　A 49-year-old male with papillary hypertrophy of the palatine tonsils complained of a swelling of the palatine tonsils and unpleasant pharyngeal sensation. Tonsillectomy was performed for purpose of the clinical improvement. The left palatine tonsil was compatible with the pendulated tonsil presenting a stalk in the lower pole of the tonsil. The patient did well after the operation.
