We performed fluorescein and indocyanine green (ICG) angiography in 43 eyes with clinically detected vessels in the iris or chamber angle. We used a videoangiographic technique with scanning laser ophthalmoscope. The series comprised diabetic retinopathy 21 eyes, central retinal vein occlusion 14 eyes, branch retinal vein occlusion 2 eyes and one eye each of ICE syndrome, primary open angle glaucoma, secondary closed angle glaucoma, normal tension glaucoma, ocular sarcoidosis and idiopathic vasooccllusive retinopathy. ICG angiography showed vascular network in all the eyes. Dye leakage was consistently absent. Fluorescein angiography showed dye leakage in 35 eyes, leading to the diagnosis of neovascularization. The other 8 eyes showed no dye leakage and were diagnosed as normal vessels. Fluorescein angiography was a sensitive means in detecting newly formed vessels. ICG angiography allowed detailed observation of their angioarchitecture.
