小児単独外転神経麻痺の原因検索と管理について

Etiology and management of isolated abducens palsy in children

　小児の単独外転神経麻痺47症例の原因と管理について検討した。原因としては，炎症，腫瘍，および外傷が大半を占めていた。腫瘍では橋部膠腫が最も多く，障害側は両側，片側とも認められた。小児の外転神経麻痺症例をみた場合は，常に腫瘍を念頭において診断にあたることが重要である。

We reviewed 47 cases of isolated abducent palsyin children. Inflammation, tumor and trauma weremajor etiological factors. Pontine glioma was themost frequent entity among tumors and inducedbilateral and unilateral eye lesions. We advocatethat tumorous lesions are more likely to underlieabducens palsy in children.
