前房水より単純ヘルペスウイルスが検出された桐沢型ぶどう膜炎の5症例

Herpes simplex virus genomes were detected in the aqueous humor in five cases of acute retinal necrosis

　近年，桐沢型ぶどう膜炎の原因ウイルスとして，水痘・帯状ヘルペスウイルス（VZV），単純ヘルペスウイルス（HSV）の関与が指摘されている。今回，筆者らは臨床的に桐沢型ぶどう膜炎と考えられた7例7眼の前房水より，PolymeraseChain Reaction （PCR）法により，各ヘルペスウイルスの検出を試みた。7例中5例の前房水より，HSV特異的なDNAが検出されたが，VZVあるいは，サイトメガロウイルス（CMV）のDNAは1例も検出されなかった。すなわち，これらの症例では、原因ウイルスとして、HSVの関与が強く示唆された。

We aspirated the aqueous humor from 7 eyes of 7patients with clinically suspected acute retinal necrosis. We used the polymerase chain reaction method to determine the etiological agents. Five of the 7 specimens were positive for amplified herpes simplex virus (HSV) and were negative for varicel-la-zoster virus (VZV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). There is a high probability that HSV was involved in the pathogenesis of acute retinal ne-crosis in these 5 cases.
