Clinically significant macular edema（CSME）に対する黄斑部光凝固

Macular photocoagulation for clinically significant macular edema

　米国の糖尿病性網膜症早期治療班の基準によるClinically significant macular edemaに対し，黄斑部光凝固を26例36眼に施行し，視力予後，眼底所見について，施行していない40例50眼を含めて調査・検討した。黄斑部光凝固例は，眼底所見を改善させ視力を安定化する効果は認められたが，視力が改善する症例は少なく，その施行時期については今後さらに検討する必要があると考えられた。

We treated 36 diabetic eyes with clinically signifi-cant macular edema. We used argon green or krypton red laser applied either as focal or grid pattern in the macular area. Another series of 50 eyes with compatible fundus lesions served as con-trol as to the course of visual acuity and fundus findings.

The treated eyes showed significantly favorable responses regarding macular edema, hard exudates and retinal hemorrhage when evaluated 3 months after photocoagulation. The treatment seemed to stabilize but failed to improve the visual acuity.
