糖尿病性網膜症における血中β-トロンボグロブリン，血小板第4因子と黄斑部浮腫

β-thromboglobulin, platelet factor 4 and macular edema in diabetic retinopathy

　糖尿病外来患者75例の血中β-トロンボグロブリン（β-TG），血小板第4因子（PF-4）を測定し，検討を行ったところ，血中β—TG,PF−4は，年齢・糖尿病罹病期間・空腹時血糖との相関はなかったが，黄斑浮腫の存在とは相関がみられた。また，網膜出血・白斑・増殖性網膜症などの糖尿病性網膜症の眼底所見と血中β-TG，PF-4とは相関がみられなかった。これより血中β-TG，PF-4の上昇は黄斑浮腫と関連があり，この値を低下させることにより黄斑浮腫が改善される可能性があるのではないかと考えた。

We evaluated the plasma levels of β-thrombo-globulin (β-TG) and platelet factor 4 (PF-4) in 75diabetic persons with or without retinopathy. Ele-vation of these two values were signficantly cor-related with macular edema. They were not cor-related either with blood sugar level, duration ofdiabetes mellitus, age, other fundus findings or typeof retinopathy. The findings seemed to suggest thatimprovement in diabetic macular edema wouldfollow normalization of β-TG and PF-4 levels inthe circulating blood.
