　プロスタグランジン系物質の新しい緑内障治療薬（PGF_2αと略す）と，他の点眼薬との併用によって角膜上皮障害を起こした症例4例7眼（男2例4眼女2例3眼，平均年齢67歳）を報告した。全症例に共通する点は，βブロッカーの併用，PGF_2α点眼開始から約1か月で上皮障害が発症，点眼薬中止約1か月で上皮障害が消失の3点であった。原因として，薬剤の併用による相加作用が強く疑われた。PGF_2α点眼は，慎重に行われるべきであると考えられた。

Corneal epithelial erosion developed in 7 eyes of 4 glaucoma patients one month after start of treatment with ophthalmic solution containing prostaglandin F_2α(PGF_2α). All the patients were concurrent-ly under treatment by topical beta blocker agents. The corneal lesion spontaneously disappeared one month after discontinuation of PGF_2α treatment. The clinical course was strongly suggestive of cumulative untoward effect of PGF_2α and beta blocker. Due precaution is advocated for this newly developed PGF_2αagent.
