We evaluated ten commercially available glaucoma ophthalmic solutions regarding drop volume, rigidity and required squeezing force of containers. The drop volume ranged from 0.027g to 0.044g. The ri-gidity of containers ranged from 8.2N to 17.1N. The squeezing force ranged from 7.0N to 11.8N. The drop vol-ume was significantly correlated neither with the rigidity nor squeezing force. We then made eyedrop contain-ers using three different materials, i.e. low-density polyethylene, polypropylene and polyethylene terephtha-late. The drop volume ranged from 0.045g to 0.049g. The drop volume was significantly correlated neither with the rigidity or squeezing force of the containers. From these findings, it is concluded that the rigidity or squeezing force does not influence the drop volume from glaucoma ophthalmic solutions containers.
