  • Look Inside

A 52-year-01d female presented with blurring of vision in her left eye since 3 weeks before. She had received vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage 30 months before. Her elder sister had pulmonary sarcoidosis. The corrected visual acuity was 1.2 in either eye. The left eye showed cells in the anterior chamber, snowball-like vitreous opacity, sheathing of retinal veins, and yellowish exudates and nodules in the fundus. The right eye showed scars of fundus photocoagulation. Sarcoidosis was ruled out by hemological studies and lung biopsy. Topical and systemic corticosteroid induced improvements in vitreous opacity. The left visual acuity decreased to 0.15 months after her initial visit. Fluorescein angiography showed findings suggestive of choroidal tumor. Specimen of the vitreous obtained during vitrectomy showed malignant ocular lymphoma of papanicolaou class Ⅲb. Radiotherapy induced cicatriazation of choroidal tumor with the final visual acuity of 0.6. This case illustrates that malignant ocular lymphoma may masquerate as uveitis.
