眼トキソカラ症4例でのヒト蛔虫RAST検査の有用性

Usefulness of RAST for Ascaris lumbricoides in four cases of ocular toxocariasis

　眼トキソカラ症4例を経験した。後極部腫瘤型3例と周辺部腫瘤型1例であり，犬蛔虫Toxocaracanisに対するELISAを他施設に依頼した結果，全例が陽性であった。その結果が得られる前に早急に治療を開始する必要があったので，簡便に検査ができるヒト蛔虫Ascaris lumbricoldesに対するRAST検査をまず行い，3例で陽性であった。ヒト蛔虫へのRAST検査は山治療を早期に開始するための補助診断として有用であった。

We treated four cases of ocular toxocariasis. Three eyes manifested posterior pole granuloma type and one eye showed peripheral inflammatory mass type. All the cases were positive for enzyme-linked im-munosorbent assay (ELISA) for toxocara canis performed in another institution. Pressed by the need to initiate prompt treatment, we performed RAST for Ascaris lumbricoides and obtained positive results in 3 patients. RAST for Ascaris lumbricoides was thus useful as auxiliary diagnostic means and facilitated early diagnosis-based specific therapy.
