眼犬回虫症の診断におけるヒト回虫RASTの有用性

Value of radio-allergo-sorbent test (RAST) to Ascaris lumbriocoides in the diagnosis of ocular toxocariasis

　犬回虫症の診断法として免疫血清学的検査があるが，実施できる施設に限りがある。近縁種の回虫間では抗原性が類似するため，交差反応性を利用することより，商業的臨床検査施設で行われている回虫radio-allergo-sorbent test （以下，RAST）が，眼犬回虫症の簡便な免疫血清学的検査法として利用できないか検討した。眼所見より眼犬回虫症を疑われた12例に，犬回虫の抗体酵素標識免疫測定法（以下，ELISA）と回虫RASTを行い，比較検討した。回虫RAST，犬回虫ELISAともに陽性となったものは12例中8例，犬回虫ELISAのみが陽性となったものは4例であった。このことより，回虫RASTは眼犬回虫症診断の補助検査として有用ではないかと思われる。

We performed radio-allergo-sorbent test (RAST) to ascaris antigens in 12 patients with toxocara antibodies confirmed by ELISA. It was our assumption that cross reaction may be present between ascaris and toxocara antigen. Eight of 12 patients (67%) showes positive reactions to RAST to ascaris antigens. There was no case showing positive reactions to RAST and negative by ELISA. The findings show that RAST to ascaris antigens may be useful in screening for ocular toxocariasis.
