外来待合室に設置したパーソナルコンピュータによる情報提供

Information for patients in the waiting room by computer displays

（17-P3-24）　失明後に患者が必要とする院外サービスについて，外来待合室で閲覧できるシステムの開発を行った。視覚障害リハビリテーション訓練・補助具・専門施設や友の会などのほか，地域の社会サービスや交流会の情報などを，ホームページを作る言語であるHTML言語を用い電子化した。HTML言語を利用することにより，提示装置の機種や提示ソフトウェアは何にでも対応でき，また既存のインターネット上の情報をそのままの形で利用することができた。またパーソナルコンピュータを使う方法は，カタログなど印刷物を展示する方法よりも，感染の危険性を低くする点と，情報の更新が容易にできる点で優れていた。

We developed a computer-assisted display system which can be browsed by patients in the waiting room. The program offers informations for patients after loss of vision including : available rehabilitation training, aids, institutions, associations and other community services. The system employs a hyper text markup language (HTML) format which is not restricted to particular hardware/software platform. It can also be linked to resources on the Internet. The current computer-assisted system has several advantages over brochures or booklets as it reduces the risk of infection and is easy for the contents to be updated.
