動力式草刈機による穿孔性眼外傷の臨床的検討

Clinical features of cases with penetrating eye lesions by power mowers

（17-P3-22）　1994年1月〜1996年12月に山口大学眼科を受診した穿孔性眼外傷46例46眼のうち動力式草刈機によるもの16例16眼について検討した。受傷時期は5月〜7月が11眼（69％）と季節的に偏りがあった。穿孔創が小さく縫合を行わなかつたのは7眼（43％）であった。眼内異物を伴っていたのは10眼（63％）で，ほとんどすべての症例で異物の大きさは5mm以下であった。術後2段階以上の視力改善が16眼中11眼（69％）に認められた。

We observed 46 cases of penetrating eye lesions during a 3-year-period. All were unilaterally injured. There were 16 cases due to power mowers. The injury occurred from May to July in 11 cases (69%) . The eye injury was minimum and necessitated no suture in 7 cases (43%) .Intraocular foreign body was present in 10 eyes (63%) and was 5 mm or less in diameter in all the cases. Improvement in visual acuity by 2 lines or more was obtained in 11 of the 16 eyes (69%).
