ロービジョンケアに適したQOL評価表の試作

A new questionnaire to evaluate the quality of life for those needing low vision care

　視機能の低下は，視覚を使用する行動を困難にし，quality Of life （生活の質：QOL）の低下をもたらす。ロービジョン（LV）ケアの目的は，患者の低下したQOLの向上であり，ケア開始時のQOL評価はケアの選択に重要である。今回，当院のLV外来通院患者のニーズ調査，およびそれに対して実施したケア内容についての調査を行った。また既存のQOL評価表について，当院でのLVケアにおける有用性を検討した。それらの結果を基に，LVケアに適した評価表として必要な要素を検討し，時間制限のある外来で適切なケアを，組織的かつ効率よく行うためのQOL評価表を試作した。

Decreased vision may lead to a marked decline in the quality of life (QOL) . The purpose of low vision care is to improve the QOL of patients. It is important to first evaluate the QOL of patients so that we can select appropriate aids and/or training methods for their low vision care. We investigated the needs of our patients and the adequacy of services we provide for them. We also examined the usefulness of the current QOL questionnaire for low vision care in our hospital. Based on the results, we designed a trial questionnaire which can be used within a limited time for outpatients, with a goal to systemically improve our low vision care services.
