筋萎縮性側索硬化症早期患者の眼球運動

Ocular motility in patients with early amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

（25C1-12）　眼電図（electrooculogram）で，筋萎縮性側索硬化症の早期患者10例と，年齢をマッチさせた対照例10例につき，固視運動，滑動性追従眼球運動，衝動性眼球運動，前庭眼反射を検索した。比較的大きな振幅の矩形波様眼球運動（square wave jerks）が固視状態で頻発した患者1例を除き、滑動性追従眼球運動と前庭眼反射については対照群と差がなかった。衝動性眼球運動の振幅と最大速度の関係についても，両群間に有意差がなかった。以上の結果は，眼球運動障害が早期の本症での陰性徴候である可能性を示している。

We evaluated 10 cases of early-stage amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and 10 age-matched controls regarding fixation, smooth pursuit and saccadic eye movements, and vestibulo-ocular reflex using electrooculography, EOG. Except one patient who showed large square wave jerks, there were no differences between the two groups in smooth pursuit movements, vestibulo-ocular reflex, or saccadic amplitude-peak velocity relationship. The findings seemed to show that abnormal ocular motilities may be absent in early stages of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
