妊娠中に増大した鞍結節部髄膜腫の1例

A case of exacerbation of tuberculum sellae meningioma during pregnancy

　鞍結節部髄膜腫は，妊娠に伴い視力視野障害をきたすことが多い。筆者らは今回，2回の妊娠時に片眼ずつの視力低下を生じ，精査の結果，鞍結節部髄膜腫と判明した症例を経験した。また同症例は腫瘍摘出術により片眼の視力視野の著明な改善を認めた。

A 38-year-old female developed blurring of vision in her right eye at 16 weeks of pregnancy. She had had a similar episode in her left eye 2 years before at 18 weeks of pregnancy which ended in spontaneous abortion. She showed central scotoma in the right eye and optic atrophy in the left. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed a parachiasmal tumor. Surgery led to the diagnosis of tuberculum sellae meningioma. Removal of tumor was followed by rapid improvement in visual acuity and field in the right eye and, eventually, by uneventful childbirth.
