  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We evaluated iris nodules of Lisch in 70 patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 of von Reckling-hausen. The ages ranged from 3 months to 87 years. Iris nodules were present in 80% of cases. Irisnodules were present in all patients between second to fifth decade of age. We observed iris nodules before the appearance of systemic neurofibromas in children under 10 years of age including a 3-month -old male infant. The findings show the diagnostic value of iris nodules is suspected cases of neurofi-bromatosis, particularly in younger subjects.
