von Recklinghausen病（神経線維腫症1型：neurofibromatosis type 1；NF1）は皮膚の神経線維腫，café-au-lait spotを主徴とする優性遺伝性神経皮膚疾患である．合併する消化管病変は主に神経原性腫瘍であるが，癌やカルチノイド，gastrointestinal stromal tumor（GIST）の合併もみられる．NF1遺伝子からの代表的な遺伝子産物はneurofibrominと呼ばれ，ras蛋白を不活性型に変換する機能がある．最近では，NF1遺伝子の変異によるneurofibrominの機能異常から来るras蛋白の異常や，NF1遺伝子異常でc-kitが強く発現するという報告など，分子生物学的手法により消化管病変の合併機序が明らかになりつつある．
Von Recklinghausen's disease (neurofibromatosis 1 type : NF1) is a hereditary nerve-skin disease, whose main symptoms are neurofibromatosis and cafe´-au-lait spot of the skin. Although the alimentary canal pathological change is mainly neoplasm of nerve origin, association with cancer, carcinoid, or GIST is also found. The typical gene-product induced from NF1 gene is called neurofibromin, and has the function of changing ras protein into an inactive type. The mechanism of an alimentary canal pathological change accompanied by von Recklinghausen's disease is becoming clear due o molecular biological techniques.
