偽落屑眼の電子顕微鏡的観察

Electron microscopic features of an eye with pseudoexfoliation

　絶対緑内障で眼球摘出した偽水晶体落屑を伴った嚢性緑内障の66歳の症例を電子顕微鏡で観察した。典形的な偽水晶体落屑を強膜，視神経，血管周囲に観察できた。これらの偽水晶体落屑は毛様体，水晶体表面に観察されるものとほぼ同様であった。今回の結果は，偽水晶体落屑が眼内のみならず眼外にも分布しているとの最近の報告を裏付け，本疾患が全身病であるという報告を支持する。

We studied the electron microscopic features of an eye of a 66-year-old male which had to be enucleated because of absolute capsular glaucoma.Typical pseudoexfoliative material could be identified in the sclera, the pial septum of opticnerve and around blood vessels. The observed ex-foliative material was similar to that seen on the lens surface and the ciliary processes. Our findings,together with the recent reports that pseudoex-foliative material do exist extraocularly would support the idea that pseudoexfoliation syndrome is an ocular manifestation of an as yet unidentified systemic disorder.
