緒言

　1964年阿賀川流域に発生した有機水銀中毒症いわゆる新潟水俣病に対し，私どもは視野，眼球運動，VERなどの神経眼科的検索を行ないいろいろの知見をえてきたが，今回固視微動とくにFlickの成分について検討したみたので以下に報告する。

To investigate the physiological micronystag-mus of the patient with organic mercury pois-oning, a new instrument was developed using the two photoelectric diodes.

Horizontal component of flick during monoc-ular fixation of a stationary object was studied in five normal subjects and twenty-two patients with organic mercury poisoning.

The results were as follows.

1) The amplitude of flick of normal subject was 9.2'-25.6' (mean value 19.5') and the interval between flicks was 1150-1532 msec (mean value 1357msec).
