ローズベンガルとフルオレセインの濃度と量を一定にした角結膜染色検査法を考案した。方法は,2μ1に容量を設定したマイクロピペットを用いて,防腐剤無添加の1%フルオレセインと1%ローズベンガル混合液を患者の下眼瞼結膜嚢内に点眼した後,2色素による染色状態を観察し,同時に涙液層破壊時間(BUT)を測定した。前眼部症状をもつ20名の患者にこの方法を用いて本検査を行った。患者の不快感は軽度で,簡便に二重染色が行え,7名で角結膜染色が陽性であった。本法は簡便であり,外眼部疾患が疑われた場合には,広く使用できる検査法と考えられる。
We designed a staining test of the cornea and conjunctiva using fluorescein and rose bengal at predetermined volume and concentration. As a standard procedure, one drop of 2 ,u1 of preserva-tive-free solution of 1% fluorescein and 1% rose bengal was instilled into the cul-de-sac. There was no overflow of solution due to its small volume.The thus stained eyes were observed by slitlamp biomicroscope and were assessed as to tear fluid breakup time. In 20 patients with anterior ocular symptoms, 5 proved to have tear film tear insuffi-ciency by the method. Another 2 patients manifest-ed obvious corneoconjunctival damages due to dry eye. The present method is advocated for its easi-ness as double-staining method and for measure-ment of tear film breakup time.
