顆粒状角膜変性症に対するエキシマレーザー手術

Treatment of granular corneal dystrophy with excimer laser surface ablation

　上皮下混濁の強い顆粒状角膜変性症3眼に対しエキシマレーザー表層角膜切除術を施行し，混濁除去を行うことを試みた。この3眼の上皮下混濁はエキシマレーザー照射により完全に除去された。術後の上皮修復は正常でありレーザー照射に起因すると考えられる術後合併症は発生しなかった。術後視力は全例で改善した。以上の結果から，エキシマレーザーによる表層角膜切除術は顆粒状角膜変性症の混濁除去の一方法として有効であると考えられた。

We treated 3 eyes of granular corneal dystrophy by corneal ablation with excimer laser. This proce-dure induced disappearance of subepithelial opac-ities, followed by uneventful epithelial wound hea-ling. The visual acuity improved in all the eyes. Complications were absent during and after the treatment. The results suggest that excimer laser ablation is indicated in the management of sube-pithelial opacities in granular corneal dystrophy.
