Abstract Purpose:To report a case of tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis(TINU)syndrome diagnosed during ophthalmological examinations.

Case:A 14-year-old girl was referred to us for blurring of vision in both eyes. She complained of decreased body weight and dizziness 2 months before. She showed reportedly anemia and decreased kidney functions.

Findings and Clinical Course:Both eyes showed findings of panuveitis. Blood tests and increased level of β2 microglobulin in the urine led to the diagnosis of interstitial nephritis and of TINU. Topical corticosteroid was followed by improvement in panuveitis. Interstitial nephritis showed spontaneous improvement.

Conclusion:This case illustrates that clinical manifestations may be slight and overlooked in the presence of kidney lesions in TINU. TINU syndrome ought to be kept in mind in idiopathic uveitis with systemic disorders.
