眼圧調整機構としての微動調節の研究

Regulation of intraocular pressure by floating accommodation

　本研究では調節機能に眼圧調整機能の存在することを明らかにする目的で，β遮断剤（Befunolol hydrochloride）を中心に，その影響を検討した。

　その結果，眼圧下降例および房水流出率改善例に微動調節の改善したものが多くみられ，特に高眼圧群により強くその傾向を認めた。このことから，微動調節は眼圧調整機能としての作用の存在が考えられた。

　さらに高眼圧症と緑内障とでは，微動調節の眼圧調整機能としての作用の役割に，相違が考えられた。

We evaluated the relationship among accommo-dation, intraocular pressure (IOP) and outflow co-efficient of the aqueous in 20 eyes with ocular hy-pertension, 9 eyes with open angleglaucoma and 14 normal control eyes. An infrared optometer was used to determine the accommodative movement and resting position of the 'floating' accommoda-tion.

There was a significant decrease in accommoda-tion-induced fluctuation in the IOP level in sub-jects with ocular hypertension or glaycoma as com-pared with the control.
