Purpose:To evaluate the influence of refractive error and ocular dominance on high-frequency component of microfluctuation(HFC). Cases and Method:This study was made on 91 eyes of 49 students. They had no ocular diseases except refractive error. HFC was measured using an autorefractor(Speedy-K(R))and was analyzed by a soft program(MF-1,Rigfton). Results:HFC elicited by weak accommodative stimulus was positively correlated with the power of myopia(p<0.05). In test persons with manifest ocular dominancy,HFC in the dominant eye was significantly greater than in nondominant one. Conclusion:HFC is significantly correlated with refractive error and ocular dominancy. This feature needs due attention in actual studies.
