We observed two cases of acute posterior mul-tiofocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) with unusual recurrent episodes. The initial clinical features were typical in both cases. Multiple yellowish-white placoid lesions developed in the macula followed by acute visual disturbance. In the first case, a 41-year-old female, a similar attack occurred in the right eye 6 months later and in the left eye 7 years later. At both recurrent episodes, characteristic placoid lesions developed at the sites of previous lesions and also at new sites.
