白内障術後の角膜乱視について—第1報切開の大きさ（3mm,160度）と縫合糸（非吸収性，吸収性）について

Corneal astigmatism after cataract surgery.:Part 1. Effect of incision size and absorbability of suture material

　白内障術後の角膜乱視の推移を，ophthalmometerおよびphotokeratometryシステムで測定し，切開の大きさ，縫合糸の種類について，その影響を検討した。

（1）切開の大きさについては，160度より3mmの方が，乱視頻度の増加，乱視の種類変化に及ぼす影響が小さい。

（2）縫合糸については，非吸収性縫合糸の方が，術者の意図，手加減を比較的長期間反映するという点ですぐれている。非吸収性縫合糸を用いて，手術終了時の角膜乱視をコントロールする縫合法を行えば，良い結果が得られる。

We evaluated the corneal astigmatism induced by cataract surgery in 102 eyes (90 cases). The ages of the patients ranged from 46 to 88 and averaged 68 years. We used two types of corneal incision: either 160° or 3 mm (phacoemulsification-aspira-tion after Kelman). As non-absorbable suture material, we used 8-0 or 9-0 silk as interrupted suture and 10-0 nylon as running non-interlocking one. As absorbable material, we used polyglycolic acid (8-0 Dexon) as interrupted suture and poly-glactin 910 (10-0 vicryl) as running non-interlock-ing suture.
