　スギ花粉症結膜炎11例（ただし3例は春季カタルを併発）を対象に0.1％Keto—tifen点眼剤を用いて安全性，薬効につき検索を行い，以下の成績を得た。

（1）総合効果では11例中著効3例，有効7例，無効1例で，有効以上の有効率は91％であった。

（2）効果発現の時期については，効果の認められた10例中7例（70.0％）が3日以内であった。

（3）本剤点眼による副作用として，点眼時に一過性のしみる感じを7例にみとめたが，その他の重篤な副作用はみられなかった。

　以上の結果から，本剤は花粉症結膜炎に対して有用な薬剤と考えた。

HC20-511 (Ketotifen) possesses a structure ana-logous to benzoheptathiopens and is credited with antihistaminic, antianaphylactoid and inhibitory action of liberation of mediators. It is normally used in the long-term treatment of bronchial asthma. We evaluated the clinical effectiveness and safety of 0.1% Ketotifen eyedrops in 11 cases with allergic conjunctivitis due to Japanese cedar pollen.

Instillation of the eyedrop 4 times a day proved very effective in 3 cases, effective in 7 and ineffec-tive in 1. The effectiveness rate was 91% (10/11).
