通年性のスギ花粉症患者10例に,非発作期に誘発試験を行い,0.08%Ketotifen®点眼薬の定量的効果判定を行った。有効率は80%であった。点眼時一過性のしみる感じが30%にあった。
Ten patients suffering from seasonal Japanese cedar pollinosis were tested for the therapeutic efficacy of Ketotifen® eyedrops during the quies-cent period. Ketotifen® (HC20-511) possesses a structure similar to benzocycloheptathiophene and is claimed to exert anti-histamine, anti-anaphy-lactic and suppressive effects of liberation of me-diators.
A single drop of Ketotifem®, was instilled in the right eye followed by instillation of pollen extract 5 minutes later. The left eye was tested by a similar procedure by instilling placebo solution as substi-tute for Ketotifen®.
