春季カタルの角膜病変

Corneal involvement in vernal conjunctivitis

　春季カタル100例の角膜病変につき検討した。

（1）おもな病変は高度びまん性表層角膜炎58例，限局性上皮病変35例，角膜潰瘍3例，老人環様混濁8例であった。

（2）角膜病変の増悪は7〜13歳に多く，また発症後4年以内のものに多く認められた。

（3）現在アトピー性皮膚炎を有する症例では角膜病変の増悪が多かった。

（4）継続観察例では角膜病変は4月から8月と11月に多くみとめられ約半季は冬期にも増悪をみとめた。また花粉アレルゲンに対する感受性の有無には影響されなかった。

We evaluated the corneal lesions in 100 cases with vernal keratoconjunctivitis. The corneal lesions included severe diffuse superficial keratitis (58 cases), focal epithelial lesions in the form of round or oval erosion and opacification of the epithelium (35), ulcer (3) and gerontoxon-like opacity (8). Exacerbations of corneal lesion were prone to occur at the age group from 7 to 13 years. Severe corneal changes were often observed during the initial 4 years from onset of the disease. Severe corneal dis-orders occurred more frequently in cases with atopic dermatitis.
