　ベーチェット病患者46例143検体および原田病患者16例76検体を対象に血中IFを検索したところ次のような結論を得た。

　（1）正常対照群平均6.8単位に対しベーチェット病患者群平均は55.7単位，原田病患者群平均は52.1単位と著明な高値を示した。

　（2）ベーチェット病の発作前期および発作期に著明な低下をみた。

　（3）原田病では臨床過程にやや遅れて発症より1カ月，2カ月目に有意の上昇をみた。

The serum levels of interferon (IF) were investi-gated in 46 patients with Behçet's disease, and 16 patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada's (VKH) di-sease. IF assay was performed by the semi-micro, dye-binding method. It was shown that the signi-ficantly higher levels of IF was detected in both Behçet's and VKH diseases, than those of normal controls (Behçet's disease: p<0.0001, VKH disease: p<0.0001). The levels of IF were significantly decreased in acute stage of ocular attacks, and were increased again in the convalescent stage in Behçet's disease.
