　昭和41年から58年の18年間に北大眼科を受診した原田病患者男101例，女85例計186例について臨床的な検討を行った．

　発症年度別患者数はほぼ一定し，発病の季節は春と秋に多くみられた．

　初診時眼症状として，前房内炎症細胞は56％，乳頭浮腫87％，漿液性網膜剥離，網膜浮腫は93％にみられた．夕焼状眼底は64％，角膜輪部色素脱失は85％と高頻度にみられた．

　眼外症状では，髄液細胞増多が84％，聴力低下74％，頭髪の接触感覚異常72％と高頻度にみられた．

　視力予後は概して良好であるが，眼合併症，初診時視力，発症年齢が大きく影響した．

We evaluated the clinical manifestations of 186 cases with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada's disease seen in our clinic during a 18-year-period (1966-1983).

The series included 101 males and 85 females. The incidence of the disease was virtually stable during the period. Clinical examinations at the first visit showed cells in the anterior chamber in 56% of the cases and exudative retinal detachment or ede-ma in 93%. During the course of the disease, 64% of the cases developed generalized depigmentation of the fundus and 85% showed perilimbal vitiligo or Sugiura's sign. Early extraocular symptoms inc-luded pleocytosis in the cerebrospinal fluid in 84%, dysacousia in 74%and tactile hypersensitivity of scalp hairs in 72% of the cases.

Visual prognosis was generally faborable. The fi-nal visual acuity of 0.5 or more was attained in 85% of the cases. Multivariate analysis showed that the final visual acuity in this disease was signifi-cantly affected by ocular complications, initial visual acuity and the age of onset.
