　人工知能の手法のうちproduction systemを利用して作製した新しい緑内障consultation systemG4−EXPERTの構造を述べ，その診断能力，構造上の特性などについて先に開発された緑内障consultation systemであるCASNETと比較検討した。G4−EXPERTはCASNETにほぼ匹敵する診断能力を持つ上に，結論に至るルールがすべて開放されているというCASNETにない長所を持つことから，今後，さらにそのconsultationsystemとしての性能を向上させることができる。

An approach to structuring medical knowledge for computer-aided diagnosis and therapy of glau-comas was presented. "Expert", a programming system for medical consultation (Kulikowski, 1979), was used to design a consultation system for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucomas. The Expert model consists of hypothesis (conclu-sions), findings (observations) and decision rules for relating findings to hypothesis. In order to design a medical consultation system the knowl-edge has to be represented in the form of programs or data structure.
