未熟児出生児の視機能について（その2）

緒　言

　われわれは，1971年以来，兵庫県立こども病院における未熟児網膜症の発症，管理に関する種々の報告^1〜7）を行なつてきている。それとともに重症視覚障害者を1人でも減らすため，今までの管理方法の反省と，今後の未熟児保育管理の一層の充実をはかるため，未熟児出生児の追跡調査をしてあらゆる角度から，検査を行なつている。

　前回われわれは，未熟児出生児の視機能について検査し，いくつかの結論を得ることができたが^8），今回さらに症例を増して前回不十分であつた点を補い統計的な検討を加えたので報告する。

We examined the ocular functions in 173 child-ren who had been borne premature in order to evaluate the correlation between the grades of prematurity and subsequent ophthalmological status. The subjects ranged from 4 to 13 years at the latest examinations. Out of a total of 346 eyes, grade 1 of cicatricial phase of retinopathy of prematurity was present in 57 eyes (16.5%), grade 2 in 43 eyes (12.4%), grade 3 in 22 eyes (6.4%) and grade 4 in 4 eyes (1.7%) respec-tively.

Sixty-four eyes had been treated with photo-coagulation during the active stage of retinopa-thy of prematurity.
