硝子体手術に関する臨床的研究（その5）—再び重症糖尿病性網膜症の手術成績について

Clinical studies on vitreous surgery.:Part 5. Result of pars plana vitrectomy on severe diabetic intraocular complications

緒　言

　われわれはさきに^1），26症例28眼の重症糖尿病眼内合併症に対する経毛様体扁平部硝子体切除術の結果を報告したが，その後さらに症例を追加し，現在までに46症例51眼について術後の経過観察を行うことができたので，その観察結果について報告する。

In 51 eyes of severe diabetic intraocular patho-logies the authors performed pars plana vitrectomy using a VISC VII or X. Visual improvement was achieved in 24 of the 51 eyes (47%). Additionally two eyes were successfully treated in order to release traction detachment ; however, these two eyes showed some decrease in their visual acuities due to delayed corneal damages.

Eyes with only vitreous opacities showed more successful results than eyes with vitreous opacities and proliferation, or with vitreous opacities, proliferation, and traction detachment.
