This paper describes a case of oculomycosis by Paecilomyces lilacinus (Thom) Samson, to ba reported for the first time in Japan. A 45-year-old female suffered from a scratch in her left eye by a pampas grass. and local pain, irritation and lacrimation developed. Several round and white keratic precipitates and turbid aqueous were observed at the medical examination of two months later. The condition first responded toantibiotics and corticosteroid but soon it worsend developing into hypopyon and corneal abscess. Anterior chamber tap on two occasions showed the presence of P. lilacinus.
