交感性眼炎の1例

Histopathology of a Case of Sympathetic Ophthalmia

緒　言

　交感性眼炎は，Duke-Elder^1）によれば，1830年Mackenzieによつて命名されたと記載されており，それ以来多くの報告があるが，最近は比較的まれな疾患となつてきた。今回著者らは，ステロイド治療に抵抗し，起交感眼摘出後も被交感眼の炎症の遷延した交感性眼炎の1例に遭遇し，起交感眼摘出の時期，ステロイド量についての1知見を得たので報告する。

A case of sympathetic ophthalmia following perforation of the left eye in a 44 year-old manis reported. He complained of right blurred vision 28 days after the injury, and the inflammation did not respond to either systemic or topical steroid therapy. The left eye was enucleated 52 days after the injury. Despite the enucleation, the inflammation had advanced. Finally, it res-ponded to more dosage of systemic steroid.

The pathological findings were as follows : In-filtration of lymphocytes and plasma cells was observed in the iris, ciliary body and choroid.
