視機能異常児の検出成績—4歳児の集団を対象としたスクリーニングについて

緒　言

　著者らは視機能異常児の早期発見，早期治療を目的として，1970年度より神奈川県下の4,5歳児の視機能に関するスクリーニングを神奈川県小児療育相談センター（センターと略）を中心として行なつてきた。この方式はアンケート調査に加えて検査員による出張検査を行ない，そこから選別された幼児に対して眼科医による精密検査を行なうという一連の方法であつた。1975年度は新しい試みとして一部改変したアンケート表に加えて0.3のランドルト環（ラ環と略）をそえて保護者による視力検査を併用した。またこれとは別に0.3および0.5のラ環をもちいた幼稚園の保育者による視力検査をも併用した。そしてスクリーニングの結果視機能異常の疑われるものについて眼科医による精密検査を行なつた。

We have carried out mass screening from 2960 kindergarten children in an effort toward early detection of low vision, squint and other visual anomalies. Children were first screened by parents and teachers using questionnaires of 12 items each. Visual acuity was then tested by parents with 0.3 Landolt's ring and by teachers with 0.3 and 0.5 Landolt's ring.The 469 thus selectedcases (16%) were then examined by an orthoptist and ophthalmologists using Landolt's ring, cover test and ocular movement tests. Through this procedure 143 subjects (5%) proved to have definite poor visual acuity, spuint or other ano malies.
