早期手術，早期弱視治療を試みた先天白内障児の遠隔成績—周辺視野狭窄を伴つたHallermann-Streiff症候群（不全型）の1例

A Case of Hallermann-Streiff Syndrome

緒言

　両眼先天白内障，特に小眼球，水平眼振等を合併した場合等は，その手術後の視力は一般にかんばしいものではなく，術後矯正視力0.1に達しないものが多い様である。著者らは2例の先天白内障児に1歳以下の時点で手術を行ない，直ちにコンタクトレンズを処方，早期よりPleopticsを行なって，6年間にわたり経過を観察した。第1例はHallermann-Streiff症候群の不全型と思われる症例で，小眼球と水平眼振を伴つたもの，第2例は通常みられる先天白内障児であり，水平眼振はあるが小眼球を伴わないものである。今この2例の臨床経過，及び予後を比較検討し，興味ある結果を得たのでここに報告する。

A case of abortive Hallermann-Streiff synd-rome has been followed up for 6 years since the age of 11 months. Esotropia, microphthalmus and horizontal nystagmus had been present at the time of cataract surgery at the age of 13 months. Immediately after surgery, contact lens was prescribed followed by intermittent occlu-sion of the fixating eye. At the age of 8 years, corrected visual acuity of 0.15 and 0.06 each was obtained while wearing contact lenses. There was also constriction of the peripheral visual field and impaired dark adaptation.
